What it taught me

My algo said I paid about $209 in trading fees, and my broker statement said about $155. The gap came from two mistakes pulling in opposite ways.

My broker gave new accounts 15% off borrow fees for their first 10 trading days, and my algo kept assuming the discount for about 5 weeks after it ended. It also charged commission on trades that were commission free, and that mistake was the bigger one. A fee model is only as good as its last check against a real statement.
